Arthritis & Joint Care Program at OptimaLiving
It is estimated that 27 million people in the U.S. suffer from primary or secondary osteoarthritis (OA), a degenerative joint disorder that causes pain and limits mobility. Many people feel their only option is to withstand the pain until it gets so bad they eventually require joint replacement. Others rely on medications that pose several harmful side-effects (yes, even Tylenol, Naproxene and Ibuprofen have dangerous side-effects - see our post about pain meds). And still others, for fear of complications, never seek help at all. Unfortunately, all of these options results in chronic pain, weakness and puts you at risk to develop other health consequences due to a sedentary lifestyle. At OptimaLiving, we offer proven, non-invasive, drug-free solutions to treat the symptoms of arthritis so you can return to your favorite activities and live a life without limits.
Arthritis Joint Care Solutions
The pain cycle of OA is complicated by soft tissue dysfunction in the muscles, tendons and ligaments around the joint. Calcification, inflammation and restricted blood flow cut off circulation and prevent nutrients from reaching the damaged joint to stop pain and prevent further joint deterioration.
Our JointCare Arthritis Program has been specifically designed to promote the health of joint supporting tissue, break the inflammation cycle and restore mobility. This is achieved through regular acoustic shockwave treatments, JNC nutritional supplementation and the routine use of topical CBD balm. Each of these treatments in isolation has been shown to minimize painful arthritic conditions. In combination, they have proven to minimize joint deterioration, alleviate chronic pain, and improve range of motion and function.

Primary Osteoarthritis (OA) is a progressive condition that slowly wears away joint cartilage. It is often an inherited condition and most likely to present around or after middle age. If a parent or grandparent has OA, there is a high likelihood that you will develop OA. An early sign of OA is the development of nodules at the joints of the fingers. It's important to learn strategies to manage OA as it is a progressive disorder and often people will endure years of symptoms before their problem is significant enough to warrant joint replacement. The progression of OA can be slowed with proper care and supplementation.
Secondary or Post-traumatic Arthritis is the "wearing" out of a joint due to any kind of over use or injury. This type of arthritis is very common in athletes and the onset can be as early as the mid-thirties. Post-traumatic Arthritis can affect any joint but is common in shoulders and knees. t can occur soon after or years after the initial insult. As with OA, the symptoms can be pain and loss of mobility. Conservative management and prevention of further deterioration is the primary course of treatment.
Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disorder that causes chronic inflammation and joint deterioration. Unlike the "wear and tear" damage of osteoarthritis, RA affects the lining of the membranes that surround the joints (synovium). As the disease progresses, inflammation eventually destroys the cartilage and bone with the joint. Tendons and ligaments that hold the joint together weaken and stretch causing joints to deform and shift out of place.
