- Lay down (face up) on your bed, couch or another comfy spot.
- Try to completely relax your body.
- Squeeze your bottom (just your anus) like you don't want to pass gas (this is a very subtle squeeze; you don't want to feel your stomach, legs or even glutes move.
- Hold for up to 10 seconds, then relax for 10 seconds.
- Repeat 10 times.
- Complete 2-3 times per day.
Tips for mastering the bridge:
- Lie down (face up) on a hard surface, such as the floor.
- Bend your knees with your feet flat on the floor .
- Place your arms straight down next to you with palms down, touching the floor.
- Lift your pelvis off the floor, as far as you can.
- Hold for 30 seconds, then relax. Repeat 3 times.
Rebounding on a Trampoline
Tips for "jumping" on a trampoline for maximum pelvic floor benefits:
- Start with a relaxed stance, feet turned slightly out and hips-distance apart.
- Gently bounce, keeping your feet within 6-inches of the trampoline.
- Continue to bounce 20-30 times.
- Rest for 30 seconds, then repeat the process 2 more times.
